Silvio (Mike) Manica, 86, died at Credit Valley Hospital on September 14, 2015.

Born on June 22, 1929 in Castellano Italy, he lived in Arbon Switzerland before immigrating to Canada. After arriving and living in Toronto his work saw him move to Halifax and Vancouver. He then returned to the GTA where he settled in Woodbridge.

Silvio had a passion for cars and spent many years working in the automotive industry, he often recounted stories of his time spent at FIAT. After retiring Silvio continued to pursue his interest in mechanics; he prided himself in repairing seemingly hopeless appliances and adding automation upgrades to his home. He also generously donated his time to build a hospital in El Salvador for children in need.

Silvio enjoyed going to the community gym, attending social events with the Trentino club and participation in Brasiliere events. He leaves behind family and friends that will miss him greatly and will fondly remember the times that they spent with him.

-------------------------
Those who have ever received a greeting card, note, or postcard from Silvio know that he was adamant about dating all written documents. It is only fitting to document when this piece was written: September 15, 2015.
